Accessibility statement
Last updated: 15 September 2026
We want everyone to be able to use the Tokkoacad website and course, including people with disabilities. This statement explains what we aim for, where we are today and how to tell us about a problem.
The law and our goal
Decree-Law 82/2022 transposes the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) into Portuguese law. It exempts microenterprises that provide services, and the seller, a sole trader, is a microenterprise. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA anyway, for the home page, the legal pages, the contact page and the lesson area.
Current state
The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. It was designed with the standard in mind, but it has not been audited by an independent expert. The site is built to:
- use headings, lists and landmarks that screen readers can follow;
- work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- keep enough contrast between text and background;
- allow text to be enlarged up to 200% and adapt to small screens without horizontal scrolling;
- give text alternatives for images that carry meaning;
- declare the language of each page, so screen readers use the right pronunciation;
- reduce animation when your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- Videos. The course videos are still being produced. Each video will be published with captions and a text transcript. If you find a lesson without them, tell us and we will treat it as a priority.
- Downloadable files. Some worksheets and templates in PDF may not yet be fully readable by screen readers. On request, we send an accessible version, for example as plain text or an editable document.
- Payment page. Checkout runs on a page provided by Stripe, which is responsible for its accessibility. If you cannot complete a payment, write to us and we will help.
- Community. The Max plan community runs on a third-party platform, and its accessibility depends on that platform.
Report a barrier
If you find something you cannot use, write to support@tokkoacad.com, call +351 965 898 676 (call to a Portuguese mobile network, charged at your operator's rate) or use the contact page. It helps to tell us the page or lesson, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We reply within 2 working days. If we cannot fix the problem straight away, we give you the information or content in another format that works for you.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can use the options on the complaints and disputes page.
